Attached is a Launch Planning Guide to assist you in thinking through how to plan for implementing ShelbyNext Giving.
□ Define your “Why” for launching digital giving. This will be helpful as you begin to communicate with your congregation
□ Determine if you have specific goals you hope to reach with this launch
□ Set your Launch Date. This will be helpful as you begin to set timelines for task completion
□ Assign your project manager/point person
□ Have your point person (and decision makers) review the Essentials Setup Guide
□ Determine which giving options will you utilize (and when do you want to roll those out)
□ Decide what funds will you want visible online to which donors can give
□ Evaluate if the default giving form will meet your needs and what other forms you may need at time of launch
□ Evaluate design of giving page and determine edits to be made
□ Choose appropriate settings for your organization within the Organization Menu > Settings
□ Determine who needs access to the administration portal and what permissions they will need
□ Have additional users review educational topics such as Essentials Set-up Guide and/or the Daily Operations
□ Evaluate the need for multi-campus set-up
□ Determine the need for a Giving Landing Page on your website
□ Set your Text Giving phone number, if applicable, using the Organization Menu > Text option
□ Integrate Giving with your ChMS
□ Complete Fund Mapping to ChMS
□ Determine if Virtual Terminal should be turned on
□ Create a Soft Launch Plan
□ Create a Communication Plan
□ Connect your your new giving portal to your website using the embed code from Organization Menu > Design
□ Verify all Giving links on your church website are functioning properly
□ Execute your Soft Launch Plan
□ Gather feedback and make necessary adjustments
□ Enact your Communication Plan
□ If moving from different digital giving solution, review recurring donations that will need to be addressed
□ Welcome your congregation to Digital Giving! (Make launch day fun)
□ Disable previous processor, if applicable
□ If moving from a different digital giving solution, recurring donations that have not been addressed by the donor may have to be manually disabled by staff
□ Discuss internal procedures that may be affected by ShelbyNext Giving capabilities
