Fund Mapping/ChMS Integration

 

         

 

 

Organization > ChMS Integration


Mapping Giving Funds with ShelbyNext | Membership and/or Arena is necessary in order to sync your online giving for a constant integration.  Click Organization and choose ChMS Integration to access the page.

Skip this step if using another ChMS application.


NOTE: Anytime new funds are added to your ShelbyNext | Membership and/or Arena ChMS, they will need to be mapped using this procedure.


1.          Enter your Church Sub-domain when prompted and click Save Settings


NOTE: Entering the Sub-domain is only necessary the first time you map funds.  Your Sub-domain is saved in the system for future fund mappings.


2.          Choose the Giving Systems Fund: and the ShelbyNext Membership Fund: that should be mapped to each other.

 

3.          You can select one fund to be a Default Fund. This would be the fund to which any money given to an unmapped fund would default. You do not have to indicate a default fund. 

4.          Click Add New Fund Mapping.

5.          Repeat the steps until all funds are mapped.


NOTE:  When you create Categories/Funds in Membership, there is a system ID assigned.  This system ID is notated in parenthesis next to the ShelbyNext Fund description.


New Person Mapping – if the system cannot match a donor (using first name, last name, and email, it will create the record in Membership and attribute the gift to that member.

If you have active Forms in Membership, you may be asked if you would like to merge these. This is beneficial, but may require you check some user settings. (link Manager  Settings)

You may also see a question about clearing envelope numbers – this applies to customers who have been using Giving prior to adding Membership and tracking envelope numbers in Giving. These customers may or may not want to continue tracking these in Giving, since Membership will now track all giving records.

6.          When you are finished mapping your funds, click the Enable ShelbyNext Membership Integration button at the bottom of the screen.  Either navigate to a different page within the Admin Portal or select the Logout option.


NOTE: The Enable ShelbyNext Membership Integration button will be replaced with “Remove Integration” button.  Future fund mappings automatically integrate with ShelbyNext | Membership.
