Report

You can print on standard preprinted forms or on blank NELCO forms and reprint 1099s as needed. It is recommended that you print an Edit List to verify the information prior to printing the 1099s. Any invoices that are marked incorrectly for 1099s can be corrected via View Transaction Inquiry (More Information).

Select the Calendar Year and the Companies from which you wish to print 1099s. For Report Type select from the following options:

Efile

Print 1099s

The Companies option only displays if you have more than one company with the same Federal ID Number.

Edit List

The Edit List allows you to review your 1099 detail before generating the forms themselves. Select if you want to Include Address and then the Report Type: Interest, Miscellaneous, or Retirement. Select Print Only Vendors Meeting Minimum Dollar Amounts if you want to only view vendors who were paid a certain amount. When this option is selected use the Minimum Amounts field to specify the minimum amount a vendor must have made in order to show up on the edit list report.

For each vendor the 1099 Edit List displays the following information in addition to final totals:

Vendor

Federal ID

Amount

Box #

1099 To Be Printed

Click Run Report to display a preview of your 1099 Edit List report. Once the preview displays you can navigate the pages, export to several formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, Word), and Print. Click Report Preferences on the blue bar above the report preview to return to Report Preferences.

Efile

If you are filing 250 or more returns, 1099s must be filed electronically. The Efile option allows you process your 1099s online using E-File. The new service files your forms, mails 1099 forms to employees, and even emails links so individuals can access their forms online. The How to use E-file with Financials document is available for more detailed information concerning the E-File process.

Click the Run Report button to display a pop up window opens allowing you to log in or create an account to use E-File. Once logged in, follow the on-screen instructions to select and pay for services, use selected options (such as emailing employees a link to their 1099), and file your 1099s.

Enable pop-ups from your site or the window for E-File does not display.
