Update Inventory

Enter or select the Date and enter the Name (e.g., Winter Inventory, November 2013). You can then print a list of your assets to assist with performing an inventory of your assets. Once you are done you can import an inventory file and/or mark inventory manually within the program. You can also add attachments to the inventory date.

Create Excel Inventory File

Click the Create Excel Inventory File button to be prompted to open or save the InventoryExport.xlsx file.

If you do not have Microsoft® Excel installed on your system you need to load a viewer in order to open this file. You can download the official Microsoft® Excel viewer from this .

The inventory file displays the following information for each asset: Tag #, Barcode, Name, Building, and Room. You can print out this excel file to assist you in processing your inventory.

Scan and Import Barcodes

If you have the Godex USB barcode reader you can scan the barcodes on the printed spreadsheet as you perform your inventory. When finished, click the Import Barcodes button and browse to the File Name on the scanner device. Double-click on the appropriate text file to select it and then click the Import button to import the file and mark the assets that you scanned or the Close link to return to the Update page without importing your barcodes.

Manually Select Assets

Place a check next to an asset to mark it as being found in inventory. Use the drop-down list above the grid to Show All assets, Show found assets, or Show not found assets.

Attachments

The Attachments tab allows you to attach files accessible from your device or to scan image files using the Scanner.Client.exe program. See the Attachments Help Page for detailed information regarding the attachments feature.

When finished click the Update button to save changes to the inventory date and return to the Inventories page, the Reset link to undo all changes since the last time the inventory date was updated, or the Cancel link to return to the Inventories page without saving your changes.
