The Comparative Trial Balance report reflects beginning balances for the specified period.

This report runs based on your currently selected period or a selected quarter. Change the currently selected period or year to run the report on a different period or year (More Information).
On the Filters tab the Account Structure area allows you to select the levels you want to include on the report. The Account Number filter allows you to further narrow down which accounts you want to display on the report. Selecting any option other than Show All displays fields so you can input the numbers.

On the Options tab you have several Report Options:
•Suppress Zero Balances
•Use Reverse Signs: This causes the reverse signs to be used for Income, Liability, and Capital accounts.
•Print Account Number
•Show Sub Accounts
•Include Y T D Budget
•Use Revised Budget
•Wrap Account Description
You can also choose your Page Break Options: none or Department. For Reporting Period select from the currently selected period or any quarter of the current year.
Click the Run Report button to display a preview of your Comparative Trial Balance report. You may also click the Clear Preferences link to reset all of your report preferences to their initial values. Once the preview displays you can navigate the pages, export to several formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, Word), and Print. Click Report Preferences on the blue bar above the report preview to return to Report Preferences or click the Close Report button to return to the main General Ledger page.
