Here are a few quick tips and tricks to make your entry and navigation more effective by saving clicks and reducing wasted steps. Perhaps one or two of these might be new to you and can shorten your entry processes a little each session. This can add up to saved minutes over time.

5 Powerful Giving Workflows

Research indicates a significant percentage (65%) of first-time donors do not give again, but that 80% say they would if they were thanked.

Translation: While making a donation is not an obligation, making sure to say thank you is.

If you don’t have a consistent way of thanking givers, don’t panic. Shelby Systems can help you set up workflows (automations that occur based on certain actions in the database) to make sure no gift goes unrecognized.

Updated Attendance Entry

When summer ends and we all return to the school year, it is often a time for enrolling and tracking new classes around your church or organization. Fortunately, our team is working to streamline the attendance entry process to make it quicker and easier to use. Some of these features are rolling out to groups of customers at a time. Some are still in development and are due very soon. 

The new interface will include features like: 

• Family sorting and "entire family" line 
• Easy click or tap 
• Tags for church visitor or group visitor 
• Add a new person on the fly 
• Absence reasons are available when you want them, and out of the way when you don't 
• To use them, simply click the tri-dot icon that appears and select a reason.
• Running tally and save your selections as you go!  

Here is a helpful article with details about how the new sidebar entry will help facilitate a more efficient entry with fewer clicks and a much simpler interface. 

More options will be added in the coming weeks:

1. Sidebar Filter Options: List All Recent Attenders 
2. Search Result Option “Mark Present and Add to Group” 
3. For all attendance groups, record by headcount and/or by individuals at the same time 
4. Sessions Report Display and Edit with Sidebar
